Story Behind the Hard Hat
I learned valuable lesson in leadership by rolling up my sleeves and donning a hard hat while building my first company, an award winning residential construction company. I learned the importance of good leadership, team building and the importance of excellence in communications.
I use the hard hat as a metaphor for protecting our most valuable asset – our head (attitude.) It acts as a shock absorber whether we bump our head (make a mistake) or hard objects befall us (life’s hard knocks).
Wearing your own hard hat (protecting your attitude) is one of the most important steps you can take toward achieving your greatest potential in life because your attitude impacts your work performance, relationships and everyone around you.
